I need to change my lid switch but the new part has a green ground wire. My washer is top-loaded and 18 years old. I have used zip ties to hold the old switch in place. The washer doesn't have a ground wire, but the lid switch does. What should I do with the green ground wire on the new lid switch?

I have a Whirlpool Chrome Shadow top-loaded touch screen washer with model number wtw5100mc2. The touch screen does not light up at all, and it sounds like the washer is trying to run through a cycle. The plug is getting power, and we have unplugged the machine and let it sit for 24 hours before plugging it back in. The LED screen is not working, but there is a green light blinking behind the control panel. What could be the issue, and what steps should I take to diagnose and potentially fix it?

My Frigidaire oven model FGFL67HS has a problem where the stove top works but there is no gas in the oven. The igniter gets red hot. The oven is about 8 years old and the issue started today. I have removed the oven bottom, verified the igniter gets red hot, and confirmed gas flow to the stove top. What could be the issue and what should I check or replace?
