I opened up the machine to learn more about it, but the wheel I ordered wasn't enough; I needed the metal washer behind it too. This caused a two-week delay in using the machine, upsetting my renters. More importantly, unless there's a special tool or technique, I couldn't have reassembled the machine without my husband's help. He had to physically maneuver through the barrel to get the belt back on the spinning wheel, which was extremely difficult due to the spring holding the wheel tight. We had to disassemble and reassemble the barrel multiple times. Even though it's working now, I can't recommend this process to anyone else. However, I'm glad I could clean out all the lint and dirt from the machine, which could have caused a fire. What should I have done differently or what advice can you give for future reference?

I have a 20-year-old gas Kenmore dryer (model #: C110_9131090) and I'm replacing the motor. The new motor has different wiring instructions, and some wires are missing or different colors. How should I connect the wires correctly, and does the motor wiring affect the gas ignition system?

I have a Maytag washer Model mfw9700530. Every time I wash, it gets stuck at the Rinse cycle and gives me the HF code. Sometimes I can pause it and change it to a different type of wash load, but most times, I have to pause it and change it to the Rinse only cycle. I don't think it's a water pressure issue as it has no problem when I change it to a Rinse only cycle. What could be causing this issue and how can I resolve it?
