Maytag MF12067AES, French door refrigerator: Is there anything in the vertical hinged section that would generate heat? The unit is not working, but the face of this section was hot. The hinged section is simply to close when opening the door and to close when closing both doors.

I have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator-only model 253.44723100 that quit cooling. The compressor and condenser fan were not running, but the evaporator fan was. After checking the resistance and installing a 3 in 1 Start Supco #RCO810, the compressor and condenser fan now run, but there is still no cooling. What else should I check, and is it worth repairing?

I have a Frigidaire upright freezer (model FFU14F5HWR) with a high temp light on, items softening, and a continuous motor running with intermittent clicking sounds. The door no longer creates a vacuum when opened, and there is a humming noise from inside.
