I just received my oven heating element in the mail. It's the right one, but instead of push-on connections, they are copper with screws. Can I convert or am I out $80? I can't get help from the online people I bought it from.

My Maytag gas range's oven says it's locked and won't turn on, even though the stove top is working fine and the door is not locked. I've unplugged it and reset the control pas, but it still won't unlock or turn on. What could be the issue?

I have an older model Whirlpool Top Load Washer. On the heavy wash cycle, the tub fills and agitates but does not drain. If I move to another cycle, the entire wash cycle completes itself. Can this be repaired for a reasonable cost? Is it time for a new washer? If I need a new washer, can you recommend the best model for our needs, considering we do small loads of lightly soiled clothing for two people?
