My Side by Side Whirlpool freezer does not get cold enough, only reaching about 18°F, while the fresh food compartment control is turned to the highest setting to prevent freezing. The fan in the freezer is running, and there is no frost buildup. The fresh food section temperature is 34°F and won't get warmer than that. The air flow from the freezer to the fresh food section is good, and the coils are clean. The freezer control is set to the coldest setting, and the fresh food control is set to 1. The back panel inside the freezer has a small amount of frost covering, and the temperature is high in the freezer and low in the fridge. What could be causing this issue, and how can it be resolved?
