My commercial ice maker was making small hollow cubes due to rust on the plate. After adding salt to the water softener and running a clean cycle with rust remover and sanitizer, it stopped making ice altogether. The water doesn't seem to stick to the plate. What can I do to fix this?

Replaced the lid lock switch on a Maytag MVWC555DW washer (coil was open). Now the lid will not lock. Checked coil resistance and it's OK. The washer won't run auto diagnostics and must be stepped through manually. The lid lock light won't come on and the lid won't lock during the test. The lid lock light flashed before replacing the burned-out switch. Diagnostic codes say the lid won't lock and won't unlock. What could be the issue?
