I have a Maytag MAH6500AWW front-loading washing machine. The door doesn't unlock properly, even when there is no water. It makes clicking noises, and sounds like a relay or solenoid in the back of the machine is clicking, but the door doesn't open. I have found the emergency release cord and when I pull it, it opens. What usually goes wrong on these? Should I buy a new latch assembly or is there a solenoid somewhere that could be broken, or a cable that could be broken?

The temperature on my Danby Silhouette mini refrigerator reads 63 and when I try to lower the temperature, it keeps going back to 63. The refrigerator is not making any noise, and the compressor doesn't seem to be running or warm. What could be the issue and should I consider replacing the refrigerator?
