My dishwasher's control lock activates whenever I try to start it, and pressing any control button reactivates the control lock. I've tried turning off the power for a few minutes and opening and closing the door, but the issue persists. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

My refrigerator's lights don't work and the ice maker doesn't dispense. The first symptom was no lights when the door opened. I tried removing power for 10 minutes to reboot, removed and reinstalled the board inside the meat drawer, and bought a new board, but none of these worked. When I wash/dry slippery clothes (like workout clothes or Nike shorts), they are coming out all snagged. My husband's work shirt came out with 25 snags from one cleaning. I don't know if it's the washer or dryer. We just opened these appliances in February. I'm worried they are ruining our clothes. Any ideas?
