My dryer does not produce heat, it turns on and goes through the cycle with cold air coming out the vent. Additionally, my Maytag Atlantis washing machine is not spinning as well as it used to, requiring repeated spin cycles to help with drying. What could be the issues with both appliances and what are the recommended solutions?

My front load washer model #970-c40042 is not spinning, but it still drains the water. The clothes come out soaking wet.

My GE Profile washer will not spin with a small load in it. Large loads spin fine. Any ideas? It has a balance sensor in it.

I have a Kenmore 80 series dryer that won't turn on. I checked the thermal fuse and cutout, both are fine. When I push the start button, I hear a hum and see a part spin, but it stops when I release the button. Is the multi switch faulty, or is there another component I can check? I'm unsure how to check the motor. What should I do next?
