My KitchenAid built-in convection microwave oven, model KEMS378SSSOO, has a crisper function that comes on by itself and beeps. Trying to cancel doesn't work. I put 20 seconds on and hit start, it stops but comes back on again not long after. What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved?

My KitchenAid Gas Range Model KGRS303, still under a year warranty, takes 20 to 25 minutes to preheat to the desired temperature, even when set 25 degrees above. The preheating process slows down or stops temporarily when it's about 60 degrees below the desired setting. What can be done to resolve this issue, and should I contact customer service?
