My front-loading washer, about 17 years old, is filling with water without being set and eventually overfilling on the floor. This has happened twice within a week. I've tried running it on delicate mode, but it didn't help. What could be causing this issue and what should I do to fix it?

My GE Profile microwave, model PVM2188SJC01, is 5 years old and completely lost power when I tried to use it. I have verified that there is 120V at the plug outlet, but no functions are working, and there are no displays or internal/external lights. What could be the issue, and what steps should I take to diagnose and fix it?

My Kenmore refrigerator is not cooling. I replaced the 12uF capacitor, cleaned the coils, and tested the start device with an ohmmeter, which showed continuity. The compressor clicks when it kicks in but still doesn't cool. What could be the issue, and should I consider replacing the refrigerator since it's 15 years old?

We have an AO Smith model FPSH 40 234 power vented gas water heater. The blower was making horrible noises and leaking grease, so we replaced the motor. However, we discovered the fan was also broken and ordered a new blower assembly. Now, the replacement blower motor has arrived with an extra wire. Do we ignore it, or is it a ground wire that needs to be connected? The old motor had a three-wire plug, and the new one has a fourth wire.
