Hi, the lid won't latch or lock, therefore won't operate. I have a Washing machine Mvwc400xw0. It just happened last night. I've tried positioning the locking mechanism forward and backward while holding the lid open and starting the machine, and also banging on the front near the lock with lifts closed. Is there any way to rig it while waiting for a mechanic?

My LG front load clothes washer Model WM2044CW makes a chattering/loud vibration noise at the beginning of the rinse spin cycle. The cycle eventually completes as the noise lessens.
