I have an older Bosch dishwasher (model # SHE3ARL2UC/07) that won't start. When I press start, it makes a roaring noise and stops. The start button does not light up, but the auto wash button blinks. I thought it might be the sensor in the top latch, but it's hard to tell. What could be the issue, and what steps can I take to troubleshoot and potentially fix it?

Why do the ‘Oven On’ and ‘Preheating’ lights flash in turn five flashes and wait about thirty seconds and repeat? My Thermador oven is electric (dual fuel) and over 10 years old. This issue has been going on for a year, and I've tried moving the temperature dial and opening/closing the oven door.
