My GE electric range gave us an F5 code, causing a pie to burn in the oven. This is the first time this has happened, and we think the range is 7 years old. We cut the power as recommended and restarted it. What does the F5 code mean, and what should we do next?

My gas oven's door lock won't deactivate, and it started after a cleaning cycle. The door unlocks but still flashes, preventing me from cooking. I've tried running another cleaning cycle, letting it cool down, and turning off the power for half an hour. What else can I do to resolve this issue?

I have a build-up of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment on an LG GR-B207EC. There is no visible drain hole, and the appliance is out of warranty. What should I be looking for and where, and why did the drain hole freeze up in the first place? Is there a way of testing whether the heater is working?

I am finding food particles left on dishes after completing the wash cycle in my dishwasher, and there are also food particles and soap residue on the bottom outside corners of the dishwasher. I have tried switching to the tough cycle and lightly rinsing some of the hard-soiled dishes, but there is no improvement. What can I do for better results?
