My GE washer (model GTW465ASN1WW) is not filling up with water and is not spinning. It beeps once and does nothing else. The water lines and inlet screens are clear, and the lid lock light is not on. When I lean on the lid, it starts the drain and spin cycle, but the unit bangs aggressively for the first 30 seconds before stopping. What could be causing this issue?

My dishwasher controls are not responding, it worked this morning but not this evening. The brand and model is Matag mdb8959sawo. I checked the electric panel and the circuit breaker is fine. I tried the cancel reset but no lights came on when pressing any buttons. What could be the issue and what should I do next?
