We can smell propane all the time. We have checked everything with soapy water and suspect the smell might be coming from the controls of our UGP10 Unique fridge. This issue has been ongoing for three summers and is getting worse. We have isolated the source to the fridge by shutting off the gas line to it. We have also turned the fridge upside down and tested all visible parts with soapy water multiple times. We are wondering if the leak could be at the control switch behind the plate, possibly due to an O-ring on the shaft or another issue. The gas retailer mentioned that they sometimes smell gas in older fridges, but ours is the newest among five we have. What could be causing this and what else can we check?
