My Jenn-Air oven is not coming on, the display works but it doesn't do anything, and keeps telling me to call the service number. The model number is * and it's at least 9 years old. We transferred utilities a week ago, and I don't know if the interruption might have affected it. What should I do to fix this issue?

My KitchenAid dishwasher won't start. I press Normal Wash, Heat Dry, and Start. It sounds like it's going to start, but then all the lights go out except for the Drain/Cancel button. After about a minute, it goes out too. The dishwasher is about 3 years old, and the model number is KJDS35FXSSA. What could be the issue and what should I check?
