I have an Amana dryer model NED4655EW1. The motor won't start, and the heating element starts to get hot immediately when I select a cycle, even before pressing the start button. I have checked or replaced all usual switches and fuses, including the door switch, thermal fuses, start button, and vent high limit thermal fuse. The drum and belt are unobstructed, but the motor makes no noise at all. Could the problem be in the cycle selector unit, or is there a way to check the motor?
