My Kenmore Elite refrigerator (Model 745-74025-411) is showing an 'Er rf' code and has been making a vibrating noise intermittently for two days. The noise stops when the door is opened but resumes when it's closed. I've emptied the ice maker and checked for clogging, but the lock button and other control buttons are not working. My oven, a Surperba, has an F5 green light and an E1 red light on after experiencing a rolling brown out in Texas. The oven is electric and was already in the house when we bought it 3 years ago. What could be causing these lights and can I use the oven anyway?

After using the Low Broil function, we pressed "Cancel" to stop broiling. The oven made a "click" sound, and all display went to partial characters and would not respond to any buttons. Cycled the breaker, and the display showed flashing "colon" usually seen in the clock display. Still no response to any buttons. Turned breaker off for nearly an hour then back on, same display. Is there a way to "reset" the electronics on the oven?
