My Kenmore Series 700 washing machine (Type 580, Model #*) won't initialize a wash cycle. It was humming quietly and didn't finish draining and spinning the last load. I managed to reset it by unplugging it for a while. Now, the lid lock light is on, and it lets me set a new load, but it never starts. What could be the issue?

My Dacor cooktop (model ETT 304) won't come on after a storm shut the hydro down. This same problem happened about 10 years ago, and the repair man said it had to be reset. What should I do to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue?

I have a relatively old electric heater from General Electric, model number *****, which also runs the AC unit. Today, a loud high-pitched alarm started going off from it. I turned off the unit and the circuit, but the alarm persisted. When I turned everything back on, the air would not get cooler than 75 degrees F. What is causing the alarm, and is there something I can do to stop it?

How do I put the front user interface cover panel back on my Kenmore Elite HE5T washing machine? I have two plugs left: a blue set from UI7 on a control board and a black plug from UP3 on another control board. The board for the control panel has slots for "UIP", "EXP", and "Service".
