My Kenmore top-loading washing machine goes through the wash cycle and spin cycle, then stops and goes back to the wash cycle, even though the water has drained. The machine is 4 years old and the model is Kenmore 25132 4.3 cubic foot top load washer with exclusive triple action impeller. What could be causing this issue and what can I do to fix it?

I have a Kenmore W10726011 washing machine. When it goes into the spin cycle, it binds up, stops, and the motor starts to heat up. I replaced the transmission, but it still binds. I can turn the motor coupler about 4 revolutions before it binds. I suspect it might be the clutch or the brake because when it does spin, it doesn't make any bearing noise and seems fine, but then it slows and stops. What could be causing this issue, and what should I inspect or replace?

Is there a simple way to clean and deodorize a Maytag Portable dishwasher type 779-0, model #E39927 or MDC4650AWW, which is over 15 years old? I plan to do the work myself and suspect that food particles in the drain are causing a bad smell.
