My Maytag ice maker only makes ice sporadically, and I've noticed ice forming under the cubes we do get, with some cubes being very small and others normal. The temperature is set at -4, and the outside weather has been below zero for about 6 weeks. I last replaced the water filter last month, and the ice maker is 4 years old.
