My Maytag Stackable washer and dryer (model MLE2000AYW) has several heat selections, but only the Intelli-Care setting produces heat, and it's only at one temperature (HOT). The other settings produce cold air. Is this a thermostat problem, and how hard is it to fix?

My refrigerator with a bottom drawer freezer and no ice maker has an issue where ice accumulates at the bottom of the freezer, causing it to need chipping away or leaking out the bottom of the fridge. What can be done to fix this?
