On the front piece where the knob controls are, the very top of this panel has several small scratches on it, presumably from dragging pans from the glass top cooking area. The entire front of the stove is supposed to be stainless steel, and the model number is KESS907SSS04 with the serial number D13133414. Can you instruct me on how to make these scratches less noticeable or to make them disappear altogether?

My old Maytag model LA 181 screeches to a halt when the spin cycle completes. It's a loud, short, metal on metal screech. I don't see anything that resembles 'brakes' for the electric motor.
