My top-loading Maytag washer, model Brovos XL, is about 4 years old and has a black plastic piece trying to come up from the bottom of the drum, with an article of clothing stuck to the bottom. I have tried pulling on the clothing and running a rinse and spin cycle, but the article remains stuck. I need a repair service person. Who should I call for service since the store I purchased it from is no longer in town?

We have a front load GE washer WCVH4800 with a stuck door in lock mode. We need to get it open. Any help would be appreciated. The washer starts a load, makes a buzzing sound, then stops, and the door remains locked. We have tried unplugging it, but it didn't help.

How does one change the bladder in a front-loading clothes washer? The washer is a Whirlpool, Model No. WFW8410SW02, about 5 years old, and I plan to do the work myself.

I have a GE washer/dryer model GTUN275EM1WW, about 5.5 years old. Recently, it began turning itself off during the wash cycle and then turning itself back on after several minutes or even up to a half hour later. One day last week, it wouldn’t turn on at all, and the “wash” light blinks, as do the rinse and spin lights when I turn the knob to those positions. If I disconnect the power for a few minutes and reconnect it, I can get a solid green light, but when I press start, it starts very briefly but then turns off and the light starts blinking again. I inspected the door latch and switch and saw no obvious damage to either, or to the related wires. The dryer works fine. What could be the issue and what should I do?

I purchased the LGDLEX7600 yesterday. After installation and drying the first load, it produced a strong, almost electrical odor and the inside drum became hot to the touch. Is the odor just newness being burned off and does the high temperature dry get that hot?
