I just purchased a GE microwave, model JVM316ORF8SS, and I cannot get the display lights to work, so there is no way to see what I want to do in the microwave. The clock is on, but I cannot find any button to get it to work. How do I get the display lights on?

I have a Bosch hbl8751ucc/01 in-wall oven that is not reaching the set temperature. For example, when set to preheat at 450 degrees, it only reaches about 375 degrees and then drops to around 350 degrees. The oven is electric and 7 years old. The issue has been ongoing for about a week. What could be the problem and what steps can I take to diagnose and potentially fix it?
