My LG refrigerator, about 3 years old, was making a weird noise that stopped when the door was opened. The noise started getting louder over 2 weeks. After using a heater to defrost, the noise stopped, but the refrigerator temperature won't go below 50°F (set at 37°F) and the freezer stays at 12°F (set at -3°F).
