I've heard that the bottom of the door on KitchenAid double ovens is prone to compress the insulation, causing it to not shut properly. Some people have suggested using 3/8" rods in the hollow insulation to fix this. Is this a valid solution, and if not, what is the proper way to fix this issue?

I'm running a small half-load of lightly used dishes with a water temp of 125F, and the hot water hose is hooked up. The washing powder is barely used, with half of my tablespoon of powder still in the compartment. What could be the issue?
