My Whirlpool refrigerator was repaired in April and is now not working again in October. The electrician suggests that parts are burning out due to electrical surges from storms, but I am not convinced by this explanation. I own two other refrigerators in the same building that have not needed repair. Is it worth continuing to repair this refrigerator, which will have cost $450 with this latest repair? What could be causing the problem?

I am installing a new sensor lock on my Whirlpool Gold GJP85802. The blue wires are intact and plug into the side with 3 slots (prongs). The red wires were burnt off and I have replaced the joint couplers but I need to know which red wire goes into which slot. Additionally, the oven is not heating up to the right temperature. I have replaced the oven sensor but that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. What else would I look for now?

My Bosch 800 series washer says the door lock is jammed. After following advice to drain the water, the door opened, but now it doesn't lock when I try to start a cycle. What should I do?

My Frigidaire freezer (3 1/2 years old) interior got so hot it melted the interior before tripping the circuit breaker. Is this a common problem with these freezers?
