Our 10-year old Maytag clothes dryer (model MGD2600BWW) is making a chirping/scraping sound as it starts up, which goes away but often comes back during the cycle. It started two days ago, and we have checked the area around the door but found nothing else. What could be causing this noise, and what should we do?

Hello, I have an LG dryer (model DLE7300VE) and our house cleaner put a big dent in the top of it. Is there a way to remove the top panel from the dryer so I can try and pop out the dent? The dryer is only a few months old. I have already removed some screws from the back of the unit but can't get the top off.
