I have a Samsung VRT washer that won't wash or spin, but it will rinse. When I attempt spin only, it hums loudly at the front drain plug sporadically and then does nothing. The washer is four years old and side-loading. The normal wash cycle continually adds water, agitates briefly, drains, and repeats, with the 45-minute timer never decreasing. I've tried calibration, unplugging, and resetting. What could be the issue, and what else can I check?

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Series washer & dryer stack. Model #417.49012890. The heating element stopped working, and after repairing it, the dryer will not turn. The heating element now comes on and off for a few seconds until I move the selector to the off position. I have replaced the belt, the board, and the start switch, but the dryer still won't run. What should I do next?
