The auto temp control has stopped working on our top-loader Ensignia washer. We can only get cold water, and the problem started today. We have toggled the switch several times, but no hot water comes on when the switch is in the ON position. The washer works when the switch is OFF, but only cold water comes in. We do not have the manual or purchase date, but the washer is likely 8 years old or older. What could be the issue, and what steps can we take to fix it?

My ice maker is not working. It's a new issue, and my fridge is about 3 years old. The ice maker's water filter was last replaced every 6 months. The fridge model is RF28R7201SG.
