We experienced a power outage during a storm while our Front Load GE Duette washer was in operation. When power was restored, the 'F' code appeared on the screen. The washer stopped at mid-cycle and has water and clothing in it. What could be causing the 'F' code and how can it be resolved?

I have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB8951BWW1 that won't start. I replaced the board and control panel two years ago, and since then, only certain wash cycles worked. A week ago, it stopped starting entirely. I checked the door latch and switch, added a jumper, and tried the old board, but the start light won't come on. What could be the issue and what should I do?

I have an old Magic Chef Series VI electric oven with an analog timer that was set to automatic. A technician fixed it five years ago by turning it to manual and taping the 'End' button down. Now, the tape has been removed and I can't get the button to stay down. How can I fix this without involving circuit breakers or other electronics?
