We have a Miele double wall oven from 2007. The door switch on the lower oven is bad and needs to be depressed all the way with pressure to get the oven to go on. The local appliance tech suggested that the only solution is to get a certified Miele tech to remove both ovens for the repair, which could cost hundreds of dollars. Are there any alternative ideas?

My GE 240v Advantium oven, Model SCA2001FSS 02, Serial No HG900210K, manufactured May 2004, has had door switch problems for many years. I have replaced the switch many times, but now the red wire lead is charred and not making contact with the switch. It has slowly charred through the years, so I presume the solder from the wire to the connector was not great and the heat slowly burned the wire. Can I get the plastic connector replaced so the switch makes good contact? If not, can I bypass the switch by wire nutting the 3 wires together?

I have a Kenmore oven (model number 9 1 1 9 3 3 1 1 0 1 0) that doesn't work. The stove top works, but the oven light flashes on and off, and there's no power sent to the bake or broil elements. What could be the issue and what should I check?
