We have a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator model number RSG257AARS. The water inlet valve is bad and they sent us a new one that looks different from the old one. According to Samsung and Sears, it is the exact same part, but it is not. All the YouTube videos show the old part, so we're not sure how to modify the new one to make it work. Do you know anything about this part and if they changed it?

My Whirlpool dishwasher, model number GU1200XTLQ2, was not draining properly so I took it apart to clean it. After reassembling it, the control buttons will not light up or activate anything. I am a journeyman electrician with 30 years of experience and have checked incoming power and all the way through the door switches, which all check good. I have also verified that the fuse is good and that voltage is going through. What could be causing this issue and how can I resolve it?
