The temperature controls on my refrigerator and freezer will not stay set to the desired temperatures (35F for the fridge and 0F for the freezer). They keep resetting to 46F in the fridge and 35F in the freezer. The compressor does not turn on, and the fridge has been unplugged for 10 minutes with no change. What is the problem and how can it be fixed?

I have a Kenmore model 110 65962401 electric dryer that will not start. It was working but stopped when the door was opened and will not restart. I have replaced the door switch, the timer, and the fuses near the element. I have tested the push to start switch, the belt switch, and jumped power to the motor, which ran. How do I adjust the freezer and refrigerator temperatures in a year-old Stainless Steel front fridge (GENERAL ELECTRIC) with these features: Bottom freezer opened by drawer, Top section refrigerator opened by 2 doors, and Top left door contains a water, chipped ice, cubed ice dispenser with Up and Down arrows on each side of the dispenser. No dials are inside.
