I need to reset the computer password on a Dell computer with model P28F and Windows 8 operating system. I have not used the computer for years and cannot get past the initial screen due to a forgotten password. I have tried to access a website using a USB but had no luck. I made a mistake by allowing tech support, which I don't think was actually from the company's website, to remotely access my network settings/connections. I became suspicious and disconnected the session. I reset the IP address on my computer, turned off the wifi, and ran a McAfee scan which found nothing. Do I need to do anything else proactively?
