I am unable to successfully download and install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack. Despite following the instructions on the website, I encounter errors stating that the patch package could not be opened and that the installation failed. Even after attempting the provided Microsoft Fixit solution, the issue persists, and I am unable to open documents in Excel 2007. What can I do to resolve this issue?

When I scan in a photograph, my Adobe Elements Photoshop tells me it can't import it because the image already exists, but it doesn't. Can I get around this?
