I can't send mail. The email keeps showing up in drafts but isn't sent. Also, I keep getting a window on my email telling me to type in my password, but when I do, a message comes that Gmail has rejected it. I did change my password yesterday, and the change seemed effective. What should I do?

My computer has two 250GB SATA hard drives, one for storage and the other with Windows XP Pro. Last week, XP wouldn't boot and displayed an error message. I tried repairing with an XP setup disc but failed. I then installed XP Pro on a new partition, intending to transfer documents from the old XP before deleting it. However, I can't access the old XP's documents to transfer them. How can I retrieve my documents from the old XP?

I lost email files after a power failure and upgraded Thunderbird in an attempt to restore them. Currently running Thunderbird 3.1.2 on Vista on an HP laptop with an AMD x2 processor and 3GB RAM. How can I recover my lost email files?
