I have an HP desktop with Windows Vista. The computer keeps saying the CPU fan is not working and shuts down. The fan is actually working, but before the shutdown, it starts running very fast and becomes audible. I have cleaned the dust from the fan in the past, which temporarily resolved the issue. What could be causing this problem and how can I fix it?

I have an Acer Aspire X 3900 computer running on Windows 7. I recently bought a Genius iLook 310 webcam and plugged it into one of the USB ports. When I use Skype or Google+ Hangout, people can see me but cannot hear me. The Skype test program says everything is OK, and the webcam worked fine when tested at the shop. Could it be a hardware problem with my Acer, or are the settings wrong? What should I do to get it working?
