I have multiple issues with my HP Pavilion A6248x desktop PC running Windows Vista, including unnecessary programs starting up, screen resolution issues where I can't see part of the picture, and my printer not printing with a 'no dial tone' error. How can I resolve these issues without affecting other programs or system performance?

I purchased a recovery disc on 07/14/2010. What is the problem you are having? What is the make and model of the computer you are using? Are you trying to use the recovery disc? Is there anything else you can add to help me answer your question better?

I have a problem with Windows Mail in Vista. Up to 3 days ago, when receiving mail, the PC would notify me with a sound. This is no longer happening. I have checked the 'Play sound when new message arrives' option in Tools - Options - General, and it is ticked. I have also gone to Sounds - Sounds in the Control Panel, but 'New message sounds' no longer appears in the program list. How can I refresh this box or resolve this issue?

My printer and computer have a communication problem. The printer either prints a blank page or only the first page of hotmail messages. The printer is a Lexmark X5650. This has been a problem for a while. Any suggestions?
