I have the findgala virus on my iMac and use Firefox to browse. I didn't want a monthly support just to fix a virus problem. Have I been billed already? What steps can be taken to resolve this issue?

I am using a VPN service overseas, and while it allows me to access TV shows from the U.S. for a fee, the IP address assigned by the VPN is different from the one shown when I check my IP on Google. How is this possible, and what are the limitations of using a VPN?

I have an issue with my sound card where the wave volume keeps sliding down all the way sporadically. I have updated the drivers for the sound card, but it hasn't helped. My system is an AMD Phenom II x4 920 processor on an Asus M2N68-AM-Plus motherboard. What could be causing this and what steps can I take to resolve it?
