I am unable to download email messages to my MacBook or iPhone X, but can access them via the Gmail website on Safari. My internet connection is stable, and there are no new antivirus or firewall settings that could be blocking the emails. This issue started this morning, and I have tried removing and re-adding the email account on both devices, but it did not resolve the problem. What else can I do to fix this issue?

My computer is an HP with Internet Explorer 10, and I last updated it 2-3 months ago. I have tried clicking on the 'Forgot password' option on the EarthLink website, but it didn't resolve the issue. I somehow lost my Microsoft Word program and don't know how to retrieve it. I don't remember if my Word file is saved to cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive. I must have uninstalled Microsoft Office because I cannot find it anywhere. I am looking to retrieve my documents on the Word program I had, not buy a new one. The Word program came already installed in the computer when it was purchased.
