I put in the passcode for my mini which I have not used for a while and it does not work. I have tried the password I thought it was, but it's not working. I have not used the mini for a year. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I received a Visa spam alert on Dec. 11, 2020 for a pending charge on my Visa account. That same day, I also received a receipt from Apple for $74.19 for 'Microsoft 365 Personal (automatic renewal).' Is this a legitimate charge? Is this for having Microsoft on my laptop?
