My laptop isn't working properly; the desktop, taskbar, and other elements aren't loading correctly. All I get is a black screen with 'My Documents' in a window. What's wrong and how do I fix this?

I have been a subscriber since 2008 with a platinum plan code number 1VRKRM52EF. I originally had trouble with my website provider and did not attempt a connection. I later subscribed to cable but have been unable to activate. Can you help?

When I send an instant message (IM) to a contact who is showing online, the IM doesn't go through. I can see the connection icon going round but no connection. What could be the issue and how can I troubleshoot it?

I am having trouble getting online with the following errors: AC-1000;err, Ox84200006, OS WinXP-SPS 4.6.61.3, Dial Connection, Firewalls: Norton Internet Security 2006, and App Name: dmaschedular.exe, App Ver 1.0.0.1, Mod name: dmaschedular.exe, offset 0000c579. Additionally, I have lost my sound. I can get online but with much difficulty, and I don't have the "Start" button to shut down, so corrections can't download. What are these errors, what do they mean, and how can I correct them?
