We have an Acer Aspire 3810T series with Windows XP that won't boot up. When we press the start button, the blue light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off. We have tried disconnecting and removing the battery, power lead, and combinations of these. We went to the Acer diagnostics site and found our issue is the same as others reported. What could be causing this and what steps can we take to diagnose and potentially fix the issue?

I keep hearing that emails sent to me are getting bounced, primarily from AOL.com users. One person sent me a bounce message indicating that the email was sent to "drbill53"@gmail.com instead of my correct address. This has been happening for several months. Have you heard of others having similar problems, and should I consider changing my email service or address?

I tried to install MS XP purchased online over what may have been a counterfeit version, or so MS was telling me. Now I get the "status.msi" message and can't shut down the computer normally. Is there a solution? My computer works okay until now, but I'm not in a position to buy another newer computer yet.
