What should I do if I encounter the message 'This email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address.' when trying to create a new account with my own full name as the email address? Am I at risk of someone else using my name for their account?

I have an eMachines M5312 laptop that will not power up at all. My daughter turned it on and pressed some buttons before I could stop her, causing the system to run something that looked like it was in DOS mode with 'Hitachi' in the wording. The screen would not leave that mode, and pressing the power button, Ctrl/Alt/Del, or removing the battery and unplugging the power cord did not help. Now, the laptop sometimes shows the AC power light even when not plugged in, but most of time, there are no lights and it will not attempt to power up. What could be the issue and what steps can I take to troubleshoot it?

Every now and then I get a pop-up box saying 'Internal Server Error'. I've restarted my laptop several times, done a Windows upgrade, checked for updates, defragged, and checked for viruses, but no luck. The pop-up just keeps appearing with the heading 'Email Server Error'. It varies and can happen while checking mail, playing a game, or at other times, not just set to one application. What could be causing this and what can I do to resolve it?
