Buster, a 3-year-old American Cocker Spaniel, is typically very happy and hyperactive but today he is not acting like his normal self. He seems to cower when trying to jump, suddenly yelped and ran for comfort, trembled and yelped more when touched on his back legs, and walks tenderly with his back legs turned inward and hunched back. What's wrong with Buster and what can I do to make him comfortable until I can get him to a vet in the morning?

I am fostering a dog from a rescue foundation and am interested in adopting her. She is about 11 months old and has two displaced hips. The foundation is considering FHO surgery for her hips. If we forgo surgery, what is your opinion on surgical intervention and could you provide an estimate for the monthly cost of any prescription pain meds she may need to manage the condition?

My 20-week-old American Bulldog has been vomiting about 20-40 minutes after eating and drinking water for the past three days. He is acting timid, looks sad, and won't eat without throwing up. Today, he has been violently vomiting every time he eats or drinks. I am worried and need help.

My dog ate a whole pack of Trident Layers gum (14 pieces). The gum does not contain Xylitol according to the Trident website. Will he be okay? Anything to watch for? Does he need to see the vet?
