My dog ate a whole pack of Trident Layers gum (14 pieces). The gum does not contain Xylitol according to the Trident website. Will he be okay? Anything to watch for? Does he need to see the vet?

I have a 5-year-old dog that has been scratching almost non-stop and is losing most of his hair. My neighbor, a large animal vet specializing in equine medicine, suggested it might be a classic case of fleas, but I haven't found any fleas on either my dog or my cat, who share the same living areas. Both pets are on Frontline, and I've treated the house and outdoor areas heavily. My dog has been bathed with anti-itch shampoo and is on Benedryl. If this is an allergy, how do I go about checking this, and how can I manage his diet, given he's a finicky eater?

My Shiba Inu ate a lot of flour and is experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, and panting. Could this be an obstructed bowel, and what should I do?

My dog, Cara, has been dealing with constipation, which seems to be improving with your suggestions. However, she still has a problem urinating, with her stream being a series of drips. Her urine is yellow but not very dark, and she drinks plenty of water. I'm concerned her kidneys might be affected. What can be done to help her?
