Can Lyme disease or any tick-borne infection in a dog manifest as multiple different types of skin lesions and chronic irritations that don't respond well to repeated steroid and antibiotic/antifungal therapy? The dog began showing symptoms at age 2 and has had 3 growths removed, one of which was malignant. The human in the house was diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis in 2012 and still exhibits debilitating joint pain. Is there a potential connection between the dog's symptoms and the human's condition?

I have a 7-year-old male Shih Tzu. This past year, he started getting really bad dry, scaly patches over most of his back, tummy, legs, and tail. These patches have become sores that seep, and then crust over. He has been on several different medications, including blood work and testing for thyroid and Cushing's disease, but nothing is working. His skin turns black after the sore dries up. Any help would be appreciated.

I mistakenly gave my dog a 25mg metoprol tablet instead of a 10mg lisinopril. What should I do?

My 1-year-old staffy has a cough that causes gagging throat noises, no vomiting or bile. He's been shivering, very lethargic, and has lost his ability to bark. His breathing is okay, heart rate is fast, and he's eating and drinking fine. Any advice?

Our dog ate about 20 olive pits and is showing symptoms of lethargy, difficulty walking, and arching her back. Should we take her to a vet immediately or can we wait until our regular vet is open in the morning?
